The article we have for you today is about a\nreal music lover who cannot stay away from the radio even one single day, but\nalso enjoys cooking, the sensory experiences associated with gastronomy, has a passion\nfor driving, and obviously cars, and cannot resist the thrills of riding a\nmotorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Languages showed up in her life at an early age\nand one at a time. First came Spanish, then French and then English, which she\nstarted learning with her father \u201cwith the support of a BBC course in\ninstalments that she adored. Finally came German.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in Lisbon, she lived a couple of years in\nPonta Delgada, Azores, and spent her teenage years in Castelo Branco, close to\nthe Spanish border. In those years, the quite limited offer available through\nPortuguese television forced her to look for a far more attractive broad array\nof entertainment offerings on the other side of the frontier: \u201cI watched all\nthe children’s TV series that marked the 80s, such as \u2018The Smurfs\u2019, \u2018Dogtanian\nand the Three Muskehounds\u2019 and \u2018The Flintstones\u2019, with Spanish dubbing\u201d. This\nsolution for her entertainment shortage also turned out to be a passport to the\nworld of languages, for which she began to develop an interest and fell in love\nwith at an early age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She considers herself a lucky person for having\nhad a fulfilled childhood, full of valuable moments, enriching experiences and\na priceless personal development. \u201cFortunately, I was lucky enough to have\nparents that could provide me with many social activities, trips, general\nculture, which helped me to acquire very clear interests.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her personality carries the mark of strong and\ndiversified interests. Isabel has an exquisite taste for crafts and she is good\nat them, namely in matters of cake decorating. She is imbued with the spirit of\nart, the art of creating, and whenever she is creating, she can put a little\nbit of herself in every detail. She is passionate about children’s books and\nabout the journeys they allow us to experience: \u201cI could spend a whole day in a\nbookshop, reading children’s books with wonderful illustrations\u201d. Given her\neclecticism, her attention to detail, her delicacy and determination, one could\nsay that she is an ancient soul in a young body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a lover of Cam\u00f5es’ works and being especially\nfond of the Portuguese word \u201csaudade\u201d (a kind of \u201cyearning\u201d), she loves to tell\nstories in verse. This passion and her ease in dealing with words are the\nperfect fit for the positions she holds in the company. Besides being a\ntranslator and proofreader, she is the Administrative Director and the person responsible\nfor direct contact with clients. Her ability to communicate is the main reason\nwhy the word \u201cinteractivity\u201d describes TETRAEPIK so well. All of these roles fit\nher like a glove \u2014 the former two being clearly a\nvocation and the latter one a skill that is extensively used at the agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TETRAEPIK: What is your opinion about\nTETRAEPIK\u2019s journey thus far?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isabel: 22\nyears is a really long time\u2026 It\u2019s almost like celebrating a silver wedding\nanniversary! It seems as if TETRAEPIK has been around forever. We had our ups\nand downs, we grew a lot, we shrank a lot, almost to the point of vanishing, we\nfought back, survived, we overcame the crisis and grew even more than before.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Isabel, TETRAEPIK means, among\nmany other things, \u201cteamwork and an incredible complementarity\u201d. Her current\nand only hobby, which she inherited from her mother and grandmother, is\ngardening. And thus, like a garden, where each plant contributes in a special\nway to the balance and well-being of all species, the company draws strength\nfrom each one of the elements who play their daily part in TETRAEPIK\u2019s success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Ricardo Reis, one of Fernando Pessoa\u2019s\nheteronyms, Isabel is moved by \u201cthe desire to live the present without making\nbig plans for the future, to live each day in the best way, so that each day counts\u201d.\nIt is crucial to give due importance to each event in our lives, so that we do\nnot focus excessively on the events that hurt and let those that bring us small\ndoses of happiness every day go unnoticed.
